As part of their commitment to the musical community, HV CAMP provides limited opportunities for private music students to perform in front of an audience as part of a culmination of their studies. The recitals typically occur the weekend of the season-ending concerts in May, August, and December.
Eligibility
Only the private students of unaffiliated private music teachers are eligible to perform in these recital opportunities. A teacher is considered unaffiliated if he/she is not employed or contracted to teach a studio of private students by a school or store; in other words, the teacher must hold a personal private studio of students, and only the students in that personal private studio are eligible. If a teacher is employed or contracted to teach a studio of private students and holds a personal private studio of students, only the students in the personal private studio are eligible to perform.
The teacher must register with HV CAMP using the private teacher registration form below. Registration is free and will result in the teacher being added to the private teacher referral list kept by HV CAMP. Registered teachers will be held to the same Code of Ethics outlined in the bylaws and must remain in good standing with HV CAMP to have private students eligible to perform.
Protocol
Students looking to perform must register, pay a $15 non-refundable fee, and affiliate with a private teacher in the HV CAMP database. This registration guarantees a 5 minute time slot (which includes setup and breakdown time where applicable) for performance. The teacher is permitted to accompany the student in the performance. If someone other than the teacher will be accompanying, the student will be responsible to pay $5 per accompanist. HV CAMP is not responsible to provide accompanists.
To register, use the "Register" tab under "How To Join."
No complimentary tickets will be provided. The performing student and accompanist(s) will not be required to purchase a ticket.
All performers and accompanists are required to perform in appropriate formal attire. No casual attire will be permitted.
The deadlines for students to register for a time slot are as follows:
-April 1 for a May concert
-July 1 for an August concert
-November 1 for a December concert
Disclaimers
The teachers are solely responsible for the performance of their students. All teachers, students, and accompanists will be required to sign the same liability waiver required for members of all ensembles.
