Jazz Studio
The HV CAMP Jazz Studio is a new unique educational experience that provides additional enrichment to musicians of different ages and proficiency. Although tailored to the adult members of our ensembles, anyone age 13 or older is welcome to register and join the studio.
The Jazz Studio is part master class, part music lab, part lecture and discussion, and part practicing and collaboration. Each meeting of the studio is created to foster a collegiate learning atmosphere without the repetition of a course that is taught the same way each semester. Musicians who join the studio should still meet all of the requirements and guidelines as set forth for our ensembles.
The Jazz Studio meets approximately ten times during the Fall Season on Tuesdays from 6:15-7:45pm in Titusville. The cost to join is $300 per person per season. Specific information about the Jazz Studio is distributed in the form of a syllabus at the first meeting each season.
While typically not scheduled to do so, the Jazz Studio is available to meet during the Spring and Summer Seasons. This is dependent on interest from students and availability of all involved.
While each meeting is designed to allow the collective needs of the members to be met, topics analyzed and discussed may include the following:
